YXJ Welcomes Mike Karsseboom as Managing Director


Mike Karsseboom has joined at YXJ as Managing Director.

Fort St. John & Vancouver, B.C.; September 14, 2020: Vantage Airport Group today announced that Mike Karsseboom has joined North Peace Regional Airport (YXJ) as Managing Director.

A seasoned aviation leader with extensive experience in airports with a focus on safety and security, air traffic control and aircraft manufacturing, Mr. Karsseboom joins Vantage and YXJ after a decade of operational roles with airport authorities in the Greater Toronto Area, and most recently from PortsToronto, where he was Director of Airport Security, Compliance & Planning at the Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport.

His deep working knowledge of every aspect of the airport and aviation business makes Mike an ideal fit as YXJ’s new Managing Director,” said Lori Chambers, Senior Director, Operations, Vantage Airport Group.

Mr. Karsseboom’s background also includes years of air traffic control experience with the Department of National Defence and manufacturing work with Bombardier Aerospace. Mike is an active member of both the Canadian Airports Council and the International Association of Airport Executives.
